Anne Boudreau

Baton Rouge Gallery Artist Member since: 1998

Education:
Masters of Fine Arts, University of South Carolina
Bachelors of Fine Arts, University of Louisiana

Biography:
Anne Boudreau's mixed media collages and suspended fabric constructions are inspired by both the intrinsic structure and efficiency she see in nature and her relentless contemplation of balance. A strong association in Boudreau's work is "women's work" incorporating textiles, sewing and endemic cultural traditions of New Orleans and South Louisiana.

Boudreau served as the Baton Rouge Gallery's Executive Director from 1990-1993 and has successfully juggled her studio practice and efforts to create a concentrated visual arts program in the New Orleans public high schools.
