Biography:
Rosemary Goodell paintings feature her special blend of spontaneous yet calculated works on paper. Her vibrant works invite visual interpretations by the viewer, even her abstract interpretations of aerial views of cities such as New Orleans.
Goodell was awarded a visual artist fellowship from the Louisiana Division of the Arts. In 1998, she received Fulbright Memorial Fund Fellowship to study and travel in Japan. She completed a painting fellowship at Skidmore College in 1996 and a residency in painting at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont in 2001.
Goodell has served as an Associate Professor of Art at Baton Rouge Community College since 1999.
