Jason Andreasen |
Executive Director
Jason Andreasen is an alumnus of Miami’s Florida International University with a major in political science and a minor in sociology/psychology. Jason, having diverted his attention away from a career in the courtroom, has shifted his focus to working with words and art. Over the past two years, he has served as the Entertainment Editor for Baton Rouge’s most popular weekly publication, Tiger Weekly. In that capacity, he has interviewed the likes of local visual artist (and BRG member) Kelly Scott Kelley, comedian D.L. Hughley, blues legend Johnny Winter and popular bands such as Galactic, New Orleans Bingo! Show and The Loft. He looks forward to a life as an observer, lover, consumer and examiner of art, whatever the medium might be.

John Michael Byrd |
Special Events Coordinator John Michael is an alumnus of Louisiana State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Art History. He is primarily a painter, but also works in video, performance and installation. John Michael’s blurring of media and social conceptual commentary has been featured in numerous regional and national shows and competitions. Also, he has been awarded several grants and scholarships including the J. Kenneth Edmiston Memorial Scholarship and the Carl M. Thorp Memorial Art Scholarship. John Michael’s artwork has been published in the Ivory Tower Magazine, the Baton Rouge Advocate, Tigerweekly, the Daily Reveille, Art Business News as well as the premier edition of NYC’s J.O.S.H. Magazine. John Michael has resided in Baton Rouge since attending LSU with his partner Christopher.
