Movies & Music on the Lawn CONTINUES WITH FREE ‘23-24 SEASON
Baton Rouge Gallery's popular film series, Movies & Music on the Lawn, pairs iconic silent films with innovative Louisiana-based musicians for truly unique nights under the stars. Musicians perform a never-before-heard score, live, while the film is projected onto a huge inflatable outdoor screen on the lawn.
The 2023-2024 series continues in April with the students from Baton Rouge Music Studios set to compose and perform original music for Alike (2015), The Red Balloon (1956), and Gertie the Dinosaur (1914).
Best of all, thanks to Movies & Music on the Lawn’s sponsors, the season continues to be open FREE TO ALL, removing the cost barrier, and allowing all residents of Baton Rouge to enjoy the exceptional talents of local musicians during these unique one-night-only events.
We invite you to enjoy four special evenings of sounds and stories (and bottomless popcorn, courtesy of Visit Baton Rouge) on the beautiful lawn located behind BRG inside BREC’s City Park this summer!
All movies start around 8 pm, depending on the sunset.
