LINDA JEFFERS
Linda Jeffers, known for compelling constructions, sculptures and assemblages which depict current events, pop culture and personal events, lives and works in Baton Rouge.
Jeffers has exhibited both locally and nationally and has won numerous awards for recognition of excellence in her field. Many of her paintings and assemblages are found in Hospice of Acadiana’s Collection and Galleries in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Jeffers’ has been a practicing artist for 30+ years and has initiated several art programs in East Baton Rouge. Her early years were spent working with Adelaide Brent, a renowned artist and mentor. She began these art lessons at age nine and ended at graduation from high school. It is because of the influence of Brent that Jeffers became both an artist and a teacher.
Presently, Jeffers is searching for still more novel approaches to express her psychodramas in the aforementioned formats.
