‘First Wednesday’ Opening receptions
Each month - excluding January and November - is kicked off with a ‘First Wednesday’ Opening Reception (6- 9 p.m.), introducing the latest exciting work by local and regional artists to local audiences and visitors. For more than 50 years, Baton Rouge Gallery has been helping those in and around Louisiana’s capital city find the art that speaks to them and follow the artists that they love. With a roster of more than 70 of the region’s best emerging and established visual artists, nearly every monthly exhibition the gallery hosts gives visitors a unique and diverse look at local art of all different media.
Thanks to the generosity of our members and donors, every 'First Wednesday' Opening (when held as an in-person event) is open to the public, free of charge.
