Join us at Southern University’s Frank Hayden Theatre as we celebrate the multi-site presentation of Free as they want to be: Artists Committed to Memory before the conclusion of the exhibition’s Baton Rouge run. This event will begin with a panel discussion featuring curator Cheryl Finley, Ph.D. in conversation with artists Randell Henry and John Alleyne (moderated by Southern University’s Robyn Merrick). The panel will be followed by a closing reception with live music and a performance by The Southern University Dance Ensemble (under the artistic direction of Roxi Victorian).
As with all programming being held in conjunction with Free as they want to be, this event will be open to all with no admission fees.
