The Michael Foster Project

About The Michael Foster Project: The Michael Foster Project is the capital region’s longest running - and many would argue, it’s top - brass band. Covering multiple genres of music - from traditional jazz to Latin, pop to hip-hop - this group has been entertaining audiences since late 90's. This group of top notch musicians has performed in just about every setting one can think of - Mardi Gras Balls, Miss USA Pagaents, music festival in China, film festivals at Sundance and countless more! And now, they will add Movies & Music on the Lawn to their resumes! Follow MFP on Facebook

About Sherlock Jr. (1924): "Sherlock Jr." (1926) is slapstick giant Buster Keaton at his best! Here he plays an unassuming movie projectionist longing to be a detective. After being framed for the robbing of his fiancee, Keaton puts his detective skills to work before falling asleep in his theater and dreaming that he is the masterful Sherlock Holmes. Full of visual gags and stunts - performed by Keaton himself - "Sherlock Jr." is without question one of the silent era's best comedies.

A master of movement and stillness, Keaton developed a comedy style that was as intellectual as it was physical, and this small gem shows us why he's as purely American a film genius as the motion pictures have produced.
